Outdoor play
Outside activities depend on the weather. Outdoor play is an important part of the daily routine. Children spend time outdoors whenever possible, including playground play, walks, and use of the covered outdoor area.

Discipline methods
South Hill uses positive and respectful discipline methods. Our approach focuses on prevention, guidance, and helping children develop self-control, empathy, and problem-solving skills. Children are never ridiculed or humiliated, and behaviour is addressed calmly and constructively.

Time Away
Time away is used only as a last resort, for short periods appropriate to the child’s age, and always within the play area. Staff support the child in understanding the situation and rejoining the group positively.
